In this project, I embraced the challenge of creating a walk cycle animation focused on the theme of “The Walk of Shame.” The goal was to capture the essence of this relatable experience while infusing a touch of humor into the final result.
GOAL
My goal in this project was to create a unique and thought-provoking animation featuring Kanye West, inspired by the controversies surrounding him at the time. I aimed to capture his essence by depicting him donning his iconic red “balloon” jacket, which had become iconic.
Through my illustration, I sought to provoke discussions and intrigue viewers, shedding light on the complexities and controversies surrounding the artist. The distinctive red jacket served as a visual anchor, representing his larger-than-life persona and artistic identity.

RESULT
In the final result, I crafted a simple character illustration of Kanye West donning his iconic red “balloon” jacket. Inspired by the controversies surrounding him, I injected a metaphorical twist into the animation.
The animation unfolds as Kanye’s ego metaphorically inflates with each step, leading to a comical explosion. However, what sets Kanye apart is his unwavering resilience. He effortlessly steps back into the fray, ready to begin anew, unaffected by the explosive outcome. This playful loop symbolizes his unyielding confidence and disregard for criticism.
